Just a few more things.

I bought this wonderful and pretty yucky suitcase at a thrift store for $2.75. It is so old and I thought it would be the perfect project for doing collage on the inside.

Notice in the BEFORE picture how it’s sunken in? As I did the collage I pushed out the suitcase on the top and the bottom so it’s slightly rounded now and doesn’t look so forlorn. Not sure what I will do with it. Probably just use it for display at the vintage/antique sales where I sell my soldered charms.

I get such a charge out of making new things. Love it!

Thimbleberries ’07 Quilt Is Done!

Yeah! I’ve been working on this throughout the year and today I was able to send it off to be machine quilted. The Thimbleberries line of fabric does not fit my personality and fabric preference but it was a fun project and it’s very gratifying to be done with the top. This thing is huge…10 feet long. WOW! I’ve never made one quite so big.
