Thanksgiving Eve Eve
…and I’m getting that feeling in my gut. There is always more to do than will get done…make sense to you? So I’m going to make this a quick one…

This is the front of a Doodle Box - I'm working on 5 of these for custom orders - I'll explain the story behind these in a later post. I need to personalize this and add a personalized charm.

and here is the back - this board slides out to open the box up for storage - there's a white board on the other side.
I’ve got more to post but it will have to wait until tomorrow. Oh, tomorrow…my kids come. Yeah! Why does that thought always make me teary???
Better Together
This is the result of a literal ‘storm that was brewing in my brain’. I saw this old mirror at a rummage sale and thought to myself “I can do something with that!.” I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. Here’s my description: embellished vintage mirror with paper collage, original photo and tatted lace – it has a 2″ charm “love” medallion hanging from it, the words given to this piece are “they agreed that life was better together”, the mirror measures 7″x11 1/2″. I took this picture off of my front deck so the reflection of the trees are a little distracting but also add something (although I’m not sure what).
Here’s another result to a different ‘storm’…a journal:
I’ve been cutting up books (Lord, please forgive me!!! Why is it that destroying books feels so close to burning a Bible or a U.S. flag?) and as a result I would like to do something fun with the covers. This is my best idea so far but I have to figure out a way to have this journal made in a more cost-effective way. The cost for this at Kinko’s was almost $10. I would like to do it for $5.
We celebrated my nieces’ birthdays today. They are 4 & 6 this month. I enjoyed making these Storybook Doodle Boxes just for them. They loved their gifts and for me to make a gift (rather than buy it) is so much more fulfilling.
They each got a charm with their pictures and names on them.
I won’t keep posting pictures of these boxes because they take up so much room but they are great and so cute. Moms love them too!
Meet Cash
Here is sweet Cash, a new addition to our family. I only say ‘sweet’ because it is the afternoon. In the morning and any time he has been separated from humans for a while he is out of control & hyper and I don’t know how to deal with him. He’s only 7 months so I’m sure he’ll grow out of it.
I did a special order Storybook Doodle Box this weekend completed with a custom soldered charm. I really enjoy doing these although they are a bit time consuming. I need to figure out a way to trim that down a bit.
