Just airing my laundry!

Oh…you expected something good here, didn’t you?

Well, it’s just too wonderful, the only laundry I need to air is the real stuff.

Yesterday I was having a very nice afternoon;

  • ~sitting on the shaded front porch of a friend with unsweetened iced tea in my hand
  • ~enjoying the incredibly gorgeous view of Summit Valley (wish I had a pic to share)
  • ~admiring the clothes line – which I do each time I’m there (same one mentioned in this post)– and all of the sudden, it clicked, “That’s the kind of clothes line that I need.”

I have one already but it’s very inconvenient, so much so that I know I’ll never use it.  I now have one that I can access off of my front porch.  It is connected from the porch to a tree and slides with 2 pulleys.  Don’t look too close at the ladder perched against that tree.  It shouldn’t be used for anything except ‘yard art’ (I can’t believe that it held me).

This was such a QUICK and inexpensive project.  If I can get myself to faithfully use it, I should save a lot of $.  I’m all for that.

After I had it up, I remembered this fun laundry basket that I picked up last week with the intention of making a new & fun liner for it.

  4. Hey sweet friend,
    My very most favorite time of hanging out laundry was when the sun faithfully whitened all those cloth diapers of many years ago….the washing machine and the clothesline magically transformed them back into sweet smelling cotton. That process of hanging out diapers, drying them in the fresh air of summer, and folding them in tidy stacks are sweet memories for me….all this evoked from your clothesline photo! Much love, Lin
