I’m smitten…
I feel as though I’ve been hit with cupid’s arrow of goat-love.
My brother, Marcus and I have been talking about getting milk goats. We have a neighbor who had two does that gave birth to twins and triplets last Thursday…that’s 5 little kids!
On Saturday we took his girls over so they could see the babies and we could ask some questions.
It was such a fun experience…I think that Auntie liked the visit even more than the girls. I haven’t been able to get these babies off my mind.
Maybe I can bring a couple of them home when they are ready….just maybe!
Oh, My!!! Pure, soft sweetness!
Next year she’ll be grown-up enough to have her own babies!
thx. Marc for sharing some of your pictures

see? that is EXACTLY how I feel about our baby lambs! aren’t they absolutely darling??? I do hope you will get some, as I would love to see your photos!
xx
Yep! I just can’t wait! My Mr. even seems to be on board with this one {I’ve wanted a milk cow for a few years and he’s just never been able to embrace that one!}
Oh, not much cuter than baby goats….are these nubians? I think I would like a couple pygmy ones…they are all so playful & fun!!
Yes, Nubians! I love pygmies too but I don’t want to milk one of those!
Such cute photos. My husband and I want goats one day too. We are living in an apartment while we are in school, but maybe one day!
One time I went to a farm and they had all these beautiful rabbits and goats, and sheep. I asked why they had so many (not like a big farm just 10 or so each) They said “we eat them”. I don’t eat any meat and I love animals so I was sick for a long time. These pictures are so cute.
That would indeed be a little traumatic…I promise I won’t eat my goats if I get them but I will drink and use their milk. {hope that’s OK with you!}
Fun post, Elaine. We just sent a deposit for our new goat babies to be born very soon, and we can hardly wait. I just hope I know what Im getting myself into!
Go for it Elaine… We just love our goats. And our kids (human) have totally embraced them, even the work that comes along with caring for them. Totally awesome family experience.
